A private family collection of vintage and collectible toys will be sold at auction in the White Mountains of New Hampshire during an exceptional two-day sale, Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20, 2007. The Giordano-Ramsey Collection includes 850+ pieces of antique, vintage, and collectible toys, games, banks, Black Americana, and more. Ammonoosuc River Auction Company of Lisbon, New Hampshire (NH) has been commissioned by the family to handle the sale. Mike Carver, a NH/Vermont licensed auctioneer and owner of Ammonoosuc River Auction Company, will call the sale, along with Jay Hartnett, a NH licensed auctioneer and associate.
The Giordano-Ramsey collection consists of over 850 toys, games, banks, robots, and more, most in good to excellent condition, and many with their original boxes and paperwork. The collection also includes 15 peddle vehicles and more than 160 pieces of Black Americana, including sewing items, planters, egg timers, cream pitchers, salt, pepper, and condiment sets, ashtrays, cigarette and match holders, tins, bells, dolls, and souvenirs. The sale will include pieces by such well-known manufacturers as Hubley, Schuco, Marx, Arcade, Metalcraft, Buddy L, Wyandote, Doepke, Model Toy, J. Chein & Company, Structo, Disney, Tootsie Toy, Jaymar, Midgies, Automatic Toy Co., Revell, Ideal, Superior Toy, Ohlsson & Rice, Fisher Price, Modern Toys, Linemar, Walt Disney, Grimland Co., Ohio Art Co., Unique Art, Woonsocket Brush Co., Aero Mite, Penny King Co., Castle Products, and Apex Novelty. The sale will also include some very sought-after promotional toys by companies such as Coca-Cola, Heinz, Hershey, American Airlines, Sunshine Dairy, Cascade, Greyhound, Pillsbury, Sinclair Gasoline, Standard Oil, Shell Oil, Kroger, Goodrich, North American Van Lines, Pure Oil Co., United Boeing, TWA, Planter’s Peanuts, McDonald’s, and Burger King.

Michael Carver is the owner of Ammonoosuc River Auction Company in Lisbon, NH. He is an auctioneer and appraiser, specializing in 18th and 19th century American furniture, collectibles, and decorative accessories. Mike has 25 years of experience as a buyer, seller, appraiser and collector of antiques and is a 2002 graduate of Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, High Point, North Carolina. He is also a member of the National Auctioneers Association and New Hampshire Auctioneers Association.
